Description

The Pipeline Signaller of EMT, specifically meant to indicate the pigs exiout of the launcher, its destination to a receiver, or its passagthrough specific point in the pipeline, is a reliable and effective tool. This signaller is designed with an omnidirectional trigger, which ensures its effectiveness regardless of the orientation in which it is fitted.

Design Feature of the Pipeline Signaller

This design feature makes it impossible to fix the signaller onto the pipeline or pig trap in the wrong orientation. Some pig signaller designs are bi-directional. This means operators can accidentally fit them offset from the pig’s travel line. Consequently, they cannot work properly. The EMT signaller, however, was designed with ease of fitting in mind, using either a threaded boss or flange mounting. The signaller operates in 360⁰, making it almost impossible to install incorrectly.

You can monitor the signallers remotely using electrical switches. These switches send a signal directly to your mobile. This keeps you updated on your pig passage anywhere in the world. Updates go directly to your phone.

The EMT Pipeline Signaller is a proven design, approved and used by most international operators and contractors.  Worldwide operators still use our units that are over 25 years old. This design feature prevents false operation under line pressure. Unlike some designs, it remains reliable during product flow.

Like any piece of equipment, however, physical accidents can happen. Therefore, you can easily remove the EMT design under line pressure and replace it without any problem. To accommodate buried pipelines, we have developed signaller removal tools to client specifications up to over 2 meters in depth.

All designs and products undergo full factory acceptance testing under pressure, often under independent third-party inspection, before dispatch. EMT is also somewhat unique in that the company can supply a combination of intrusive and non-intrusive pig signaling equipment dependent upon client requirements and specifications. Subsea options in intrusive and non-intrusive forms are readily available upon request.

Pig signallers are crucial for monitoring pipeline pigging operations. They provide real-time updates on pig locations. This helps ensure proper pipeline maintenance and cleaning. By detecting pigs’ passage, they prevent blockages and system failures. Operators can make timely interventions based on signaller data. This increases overall pipeline safety and efficiency. Accurate pig tracking reduces operational costs and downtime. Pig signallers also assist in verifying pigging procedures’ success. Their reliability makes them essential in various industries.
